GANNI is fast becoming one of my favourite brands. The Copenhagen-based brand are refreshing and affordable. Their designs mix the ultra feminine with some funky edge. I am obsessed with their Tiger pyjama style pieces and edgy florals.

Chiffon Romance

That’s what Valentino’s Spring/Summer 2017 Couture Collection is all about.

Pieces appear simple, however upon closer inspection, are beautifully delicate and beautifully complicated. Soft colours, feather light pleats as well as hand made chiffon roses and ruffles – I can only agree with Suzy Menkes when she says ‘the most beautiful and poetic show of the Paris haute couture week’.

Marmite Moments

I cannot say I loved, or at least liked, the star of the Chanel Couture show – the Chanel Couture bride. In my eyes, Chanel should always have an air of understatement and class. The dress below is over the top and reminds me of the old fashioned version of femininity Chanel herself tried to escape from. As Coco once said ‘luxury is the opposite of vulgarity’.

Fortunately the rest of the collection was pretty dreamy…

It’s STILL raining so I thought I would make this post weather relevant.

RAINS is a Danish rainwear company founded in 2012. It has made the traditional rubber raincoat much cooler offering a full line of waterproof outerwear, bags and accessories to the fashion conscious consumers who are not lucky enough to live in LA.

I have just ordered the baby blue number below…unfortunately it’s perfect for London life!

Inspired by both Scandinavian weather and design heritage, RAINS merge traditional methods with innovative techniques to create understated and considered rainwear made to last beyond the season.

Smile, it’s raining

So it’s a rather bleak start to the year, political chaos, tube strikes, lack of funds, oh and the dreadful weather! I came across some SATC inspiration today which has made me question my all black outfit…

Don’t let this seemingly awful time of year dampen your mood. Wear something bright and smile!

I usually don’t put too much pressure on myself on making New Years resolutions but this year I’m feeling rather inspired…

Exercise more. I am burning calories just thinking about going for a slow walk in these Adidas by Stella McCartney outfits.

Get that promotion. I’m not bossy, I’m the boss in Versace, Bruno Cucinelli  & Étoile Isabel Marant.

Learn French. Just so you can go to Paris dressed in Frame & J Crew.

Time to reform

Knowing where what I wear comes from is becoming increasingly important to me, which is why I love the break out brand REFORMATION. It has recently come to the UK and is also stocked at Net-a-Porter. Their collections are sultry, simple and elegant. Reformation’s key pieces can be dialed up or down and suit the work/play nature of London life.

Some of my wishlist pieces below.

The brand was created in 2009 by Yael Aflalo. They design and manufacture the majority of their limited-edition collections in their factory headquarters in downtown Los Angeles. All other garments are produced by responsible manufacturing partners using sustainable methods and materials. They source sustainable fabrics and vintage garments while incorporating better practices throughout their supply chain to make beautiful styles at a fraction of the environmental impact of conventional fashion. It is their mission to lead and inspire a sustainable way to be fashionable.
