What to wear on International Women’s Day

Too Risqué?

How can I sum up the Julien Macdonald A/W17 ready-to-wear show?

Stunning intricate pieces with a splash of 70’s glamour and a pinch of vulgarity but somehow it all works.

My 3 favourite looks from the collection…

What’s this ‘Too Risqué’ (maybe on the verge of tacky) business all about?

Winter Guru

Like most of you, I often look to the wonderful fashion bloggers of instagram for style tips. This winter Camille Charrière is my style guru. She mixes statement pieces with cosy knitware and keeps her make up and hair low key.

The look below is my favourite. Lady like, casual and chic!

The Nightmare before Christmas

Oh what to wear??

Some options I like which are office friendly but feel special!

Velvet dress & lace skirt – Sandro (sandro-paris.com), Sequin dress – Zara (ww.zara.com/uk), off-the shoulder & gold silk dress – All Saints  (allsaints.com), floral dress and mini with bow – French Connection (frenchconnection.com).

Clinging onto Summer

…for dear life!

It’s the 1st of September in London which unfortunately means summer, all 4 days of it, has come to a close. But we must rebel and wear pretty summer dresses for a long as we can. Thank you Margot, Alicia & Beyonce for the inspiration #flowerpower

Magical Fendi

KARL LAGERFELD is a genius.

Fendi’s 90th anniversairy ‘haute fourrur’ show was in Rome and featured models walking on a clear runway across the Trevi Fountain water.

“Mink coats, frothy chiffon dresses and sheer gowns were meticulously intarsia’d together to create naïve woodland scenes that depicted trees in silhouette, botanicals in bloom, alongside rolling hills, castles set into the distance and blonde princesses. It was utterly enchanting”.
